- Module 1: Development Setup and GitTopics Install .NET SDK, Visual Studio or VS Code, Git, PostgreSQL, pgAdmin, Docker Desktop, and Postman. Understand the command line, solution/project structure, NuGet packages, and environment variables. Learn Git fundamentals: repositories, commits, branches, merging, pull requests, and resolving conflicts. Create a GitHub profile and practice committing daily.2
- Module 2: C# ProgrammingC# syntax, data types, operators, conditionals, loops, methods, and arrays. Collections: List, Dictionary, HashSet, and queues. OOP: classes, objects, constructors, properties, inheritance, interfaces, polymorphism, and encapsulation. Exception handling, file I/O, JSON serialization, and debugging. LINQ, lambda expressions, delegates, generics, records, and nullable reference types. Async programming: Task, async, await, and cancellation tokens. LINQ and lambdas are especially important because they carry directly into EF Core queries.2
- Module 3: TypeScript and Frontend FoundationsHTML5: semantic tags, forms, accessibility, and document structure. CSS3: box model, flexbox, grid, responsive design, custom properties, and transitions. JavaScript essentials: DOM, events, promises, async/await, fetch, modules, and JSON. TypeScript: primitive types, interfaces, unions, literal types, generics, utility types, type narrowing, and tsconfig.json.2
- Module 4: ASP.NET Core MVC and REST APIsASP.NET Core architecture: Program.cs, middleware, routing, configuration, environments, and logging. MVC pattern: models, views, controllers, ViewModels, and separation of concerns. Build REST APIs with API controllers. HTTP methods, status codes, routing, model binding, DTOs, validation, and content negotiation. Error handling, global exception handling, and Problem Details responses. Swagger/OpenAPI documentation. Dependency injection: service lifetimes, interfaces, constructor injection, and configuration. SOLID principles and testable service design.3
- Module 5: Entity Framework CoreEF Core architecture: DbContext, DbSet, providers, connection strings, and options. Code First development: entities, configurations, Fluent API, and migrations. Relationships: one-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many. CRUD operations, tracking vs. no-tracking queries, projections, and pagination. LINQ queries, eager loading, explicit loading, and avoiding N+1 queries. Transactions, concurrency, seeding, migrations, and database versioning. EF Core Code First is recommended because it reinforces LINQ, lambda expressions, and modern data-access practices.1
